Assault Rifles

 

A recent cartoon on the Palm Beach Opinion page may have presented a good idea. Only former military personnel should be allowed to own “Assault Weapons”. While many question why anyone should need an assault weapon, a good start would be to restrict ownership to former military personnel.

 

This way the people who have these weapons have at least been properly trained and have earned the right to have them. In 1776 the authors of the constitution did not have access to guns with the advancements and power of today’s weapons.
