Chris Wallace on Fox Sunday night showed his racist prejudice
On Sunday June 14, 2020, Chris Wallace interviewed Dr. Ben Carson, Secretary of Housing. Mr. Wallace asked Dr. Carson, as a black man, if he had ever spoken to his boys about the police, which Dr. Carson said he had. When Dr. Cason had finish his remarks, with a smirk on his face, Chris Wallace said that as a white man he never had spoken to his sons about the police.
I am a 75 year old white male with two male sons and three male grandsons and I have given them all advice on police. I have always instructed my sons that the police are there to protect you and make sure everyone in safe and following the law. I have instructed my sons to always obey the police when they give an instruction, stop when they ask you to, show what is in your hands when they ask you to, answer them truthfully when they ask you a question and do not try to give a quite or smart answer.
My white wife seems to have a heavy foot when driving and I have told her that when and if a police car pulls her over to roll down the window and place your hands on the driver wheel so the approaching police can see your hands. Have you driver’s license ready to give to him. I keep an envelope in the glove compartment with the current registration and insurance policy information.
Once I heard my youngest grandson say “if the police come you run away” and I chastised him for it. I asked where he heard such a thing and he said “on television”. Television, news reporters and motion pictures have eroded our civility and respect for law and order. Chris Wallace exposed his disdain for Blacks, his superior belief in himself, and his racism in his statement “that he never felt the need” to advise his children concerning police.
There is NO DOUBT that there are bad police men, but they are a small percentage and they must be weeded out. Union contracts need to be amended so that officers charged with “excessive force” can be removed without interference from police unions. The races prejudice IN POLICE DEPARTMENTS must be dealt with and unions and union contracts should not be allowed to interfere with disciplinary actions.
While the recent police murders of George Floyd and other unarmed black men have been, and are horrific, the murder of Cory Jones in West Palm Beach a few years ago should have been the greater and earlier call for action.
