May 5, 2017 News Media Misrepresented President Trump’s comments about President Andrew Jackson

CNN and the TV news media once again have misrepresented the comments of President Trump. Andrew Jackson is one of my five most admired Presidents because he loved America and the American people and he distrusted Washington politicians and the monetary system. Andrew Jackson was a strong President.

President Jackson ended Biddle’s control of America’s monetary system. He supported the issuance of coins because he distrusted paper money. If we had Presidents like this who had a distrust for “paper money,” we might not have incurred the debt we now face.

I agree with President Trump, he did not say Andrew Jackson would have personally averted the Civil War, only that if Andrew Jackson were alive 16 years, later than when he lived, the civil war may have been averted under his leadership.

There is a big difference between these two statements.

Some call this Fake News; I call it intentional misrepresentation of facts.
