China Rather Than Russia Should Be Our Concern

 

It seems that our news agencies and our Washington politicians are in a frenzy over Russia. The real concern should be China rather than Russia. The United States and Russia have more common interests whereas the United States and China have many unsolved issues such as North Korea which still needs to be addressed.

 

China and North Korea have done more harm to the United States government and businesses by electronically hacking into our government’s computer systems than Russia, because they are more successful at it.

 

Although we may sense that Russia does not value life as Americans do, I believe that they value life, especially when compared to North Korea and China. Many Americans feel that the physical distance (the Pacific Ocean) between China and the US is so great that they mistakenly ignore the real threat China and North Korea pose.

 

When one considers each country’s history, one might discover that the monarchies of Russia and Europe are more closely related than the history of China which follows a much different cultural path.

 

News services must stop wasting precious time with knee jerk Russian headlines and start looking at the most real threat that China and North Korea pose to the United States long term.

 

Japan, a true ally, needs to strengthen its military and support the United States. Russia can and should be our next best ally in the region of the world, in order to combat the rise of power and threats from  China’s adopted child…..North Korea.
